Stitch & Create A Log Cabin SquareArts & CraftsDiscover the timeless pattern of the Log Cabin block in a supportive, collaborative setting! Join us to learn how to create a new quilt project that can be turned into an accent pillow, table runner, or create a custom tote bag. The iconic Log Cabin square is the perfect launchpad for new and begining sewers. This workshop for adults and youth (ages 13+) is designed to be a comfortable space to learn from others. Think of your instructor, and the other experienced sewers, as your guides. You’ll get to experiment with colors and layouts, all while enjoying the company of fellow sewers in a relaxed, encouraging environment. The instructor will demonstrate strip piecing to help you create several blocks at a time. By the end of our two sessions, you’ll have a completed 16" x 16" block (or more) and the confidence to turn it into a beatiful table runner or a fun bag! Instructor/facilitator: Jan NelsonWhat to Bring Your own sewing machine in good working order (don't forget your power cord, foot pedal, and a fresh needle!).Basic sewing notions (thread, scissors or a rotary cutter, pins).Fabric & Materials The facilitator will happily provide fabric scraps for everyone to use! Tiny TotsTots Gymnastics: The Discovery Level Spark a love for movement and play in our introductory preschool program! The Byron Community Education Gymnastics program provides a fun, safe, and physically active outlet for our youngest athletes. In the Tots program, we focus on developing "the whole child"—combining physical coordination with the social skills needed for a classroom setting. 🤸 What We Focus On Early Discovery: Introduction to basic gymnastics terms, body positions, and fundamental movements in a playful environment. Physical Foundations: Building the initial strength, balance, and coordination that serve as the building blocks for all future sports. Social Milestones: Encouraging independence, following multi-step directions, and practicing social skills like taking turns and listening to a coach. 📋 Class Details Eligibility: Designed for boys and girls ages 3 to 4. Independence: To foster self-confidence and focus, gymnasts participate in this class independently from their parents.
