Whether your child is taking their first brave strokes in our youth swim lessons, you’re looking to stay active and energized in our aquatic fitness classes, or the whole family is ready to make a splash during open swim, our programs are designed to keep our community healthy, safe, and connected. Please note that due to pool repairs, we are not posting any aquatics programming at this time. This site will be updated if the city is able to offer swim lessons during the summer of 2026.Category -

Byron PreschoolByron Preschool offers a variety of programs designed to support young learners and their families. We believe children learn best through play in safe, engaging environments that encourage exploration and meaningful experiences. Through strong partnerships with families, we extend learning from the classroom into the home. Our curriculum supports the whole child by building social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, literacy, and math skills. Children practice self-regulation, communication, problem-solving, letter and sound recognition, counting, and comparing. Science and art are included weekly as children explore themes and express creativity.Child Care Program -
Child CareProject Kids (PK) offers school age child care throughout the year for children in preschool through 5th grade. We provide quality programming before and after school, during most non-school days, and in certain inclement weather situations. We also run a super fun summer session! Although PK is considered one program, children are separated by age into three unique groups: Teddy Bears > serves Byron Preschool students who are at least three years of age by September 1 of the applicable school year, Community Education Center (CEC) Cub Cadets > serves students in kindergarten through 2nd grade, Primary School (BPS) Grizzlies > serves students in 3rd through 5th grade, Intermediate School (BIS) PK provides children with daily opportunities to participate in fun and educational experiences—such as physical activities/sports; organized and self-directed play; arts and crafts; music and dance; games; homework help; field trips (summer); and even the exploration of science, engineering, and nature. In short, Project Kids is a great child care choice for families looking for enriched out-of-school time for their preschool and elementary children!
