The goal of the Byron Community Education Gymnastics program is to offer a fun, safe and physically active outlet for kids. Kids will work on flexibility, strength and gymnastics skills along with social skills. This class includes the final recreational class gymnasts are able to participate in at this time. In this class, they start working on more advanced skills like cartwheels on the beam and back handsprings on the floor. In Intermediate 2 children must have successfully passed Intermediate 1. The advanced level has 16 skills to pass. Gymnasts will participate in the class independently. Attire: No clothing with buttons, snaps or zippers are allowed as these items can damage the equipment and a safety hazard. Leotards/singlets are encouraged, but shorts and t-shirts are allowed, and all long hair needs to be pulled back or put in a ponytail. If you have any questions about the programming or level placement, please contact Charro Coleman at charro.coleman@byron.k12.mn.us. The Byron Gymnastics Center is located at 235 2nd Ave SW, Byron.
