Board Game Creation

Grades:  K-6

Kids design a playable board game—from theme and rules to prototypes and playtesting.

• Invent rules, goals, and win conditions
• Create boards, cards, and pieces with custom art
• Playtest to balance and improve the game

Byron Community Education is excited to partner with STEAM Learning Station for the first time this Summer! STEAM Learning is a local  program that blends Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math into playful, hands-on experiences. Kids learn best when they’re engaged and having fun—so our camps are designed to feel like an adventure, not a lecture.

• Hands-on projects that encourage curiosity and problem-solving
• Guided + open-ended time so kids can follow instructions and also invent their own ideas
