You’ve taken Mahjong 101—now it’s time to grow your skills with support along the way.

Mahjong 102: Guided Play is designed specifically for beginner players who are not quite ready to play fully on their own. This session focuses on learning through play at a comfortable pace, with guidance available throughout the game.

Bethany from Midwest Mahjong will be actively supporting tables - answering questions, offering reminders, and helping you think through decisions in real time. Expect a slower, more instructional environment where questions are encouraged and learning is the priority.

This is the perfect next step if you’re still building confidence with:

• Reading the card
• Charleston flow
• Understanding hands
• General game rhythm

We will be playing according to National Mah Jongg League rules.

Table Grouping & Registration Notice

Because Mahjong is played in fixed groups of four, complete tables are required for game setup and optimal instruction.

• Enrollment Review: Roster numbers will be reviewed prior to the start of class to ensure participants are evenly grouped into tables of four.
• First-Come, First-Served Adjustments: If final enrollment does not divide evenly into groups of four, final spots will be confirmed based on the order of registration.
• Waitlist & Refunds: Any registrants who cannot be paired into a full table of four will be placed on a priority waitlist for the next session or issued a refund/credit.
