Intro to Wheel Throwing
Ready to get your hands dirty and learn a new craft? This beginner-friendly workshop covers the fundamentals of pottery wheel throwing—from centering clay on the wheel to shaping your very own cups, bowls, and vases.
With a mix of small-group demonstrations and personalized, hands-on guidance, you'll build skills at your own pace. You’ll have plenty of dedicated studio time to practice, experiment, and create custom ceramic pieces to keep.
What’s Included:
- Step-by-step instruction tailored to your skill level
- All clay, tools, and firing materials
- Select up to 6 of your favorite pieces to be fired and glazed (ready for pickup approximately 2 weeks after class)
Important Details:
- Experience Level: Perfect for absolute beginners with little to no experience, or anyone looking for a refresher.
- What to Wear: Dress for mess! Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting clay on.
- How to Prepare: Please trim fingernails short and bring a hair tie to secure long hair—it makes working on the wheel much easier!
